UNYA National Youth Conference

Welcome

The UNYA National Youth Conference is an opportunity for young people from around Australia and the world to come together and explore international issues. Delegates participate in workshops, hear from keynote speakers and formally debate international issues. Delegates also prepare a Youth Declaration, to be presented to Government and community organisations, on issues that affect their lives and communities.

Between the 9th July - 16th July 2008, Hobart, Tasmania, will play host to UNYC for the first time in ten years. The State provides the perfect backdrop for a discussion of the theme for 2008: Building A Sustainable Future. There is no more fitting location to discover how human communities can engage with their natural environment.

UNYC 2008 will be attended by over 130 delegates from around Australia, as well as delegates from New Zealand and the Republic of Korea. Our delegates, exceptional young people from around the world, represent the future of our State and nations.

This website will provide more information about the conference as July 2008 approaches. UNYA Australia and UNYA Tasmania are excited to once again provide an opportunity for today's young leaders to engage in a meaningful conversation with today's community leaders. If you are interested in joining this dialogue as a delegate, conference partner or supporter, please do not hesitate to contact the conference Convenors.
